| A Chinese manual |
 |
Welcome to www.tcboyle.de - starting
point and place of refuge for all people, who want to gather
information about American novelist T.C. Boyle in German language,
and for those who want to get in touch with other Boyle readers.
There are mostly two reasons, why we don't provide an English
version of our pages. With the author's official website - www.tcboyle.com
- and the T. Coraghessan Boyle Resource Center by Sandye Utley
- www.tcboyle.net
- there are already two brilliant English sites around. Our
second reason: A thorough research of American culture and literature
from a German website would go beyond the scope of an idealistic
project - or at least our means.
We nevertheless welcome the international readership of T.C. Boyle
at this place too. Why? Almost 10 % of our visitors are not
of German language. Many people are interested in everything
new regarding Boyle, even beyond the American shores. The audio
books, produced for Germany, Austria and Switzerland offer interesting
interpretations with lush musical enhancement. The author's
lectures in those countries are frequent. The volume of German
books about Boyle's work is steadily rising.
To give our English speaking visitors a glimpse of what's going
on here, we recommend a look at our end-of-the-year reviews.
We translate them regularly for the tcboyle.com community, since
the site has been released to the public in 2003 (see below).
Furthermore, with the relaunch of this website in December 2006,
we have made it easier for you to translate our content via
Google or Babelfish - which in turn will most likely result
in text that reads like a chinese manual. We hope it's good
enough to give you at least an impression of our website.
Well, just have a look. If you like what you see, why not leave
a comment in our guest book?
We would also be glad, if you visit our Message
Board - Drop City East - where we sometimes communicate
in English.
Have fun and Auf Wiedersehen at www.tcboyle.de |

No time for changes
www.tcboyle.de was celebrating it's 6th Birthday.
We waited a little while to announce this, because of another anniversary had priority: www.tcboyle.com was getting 10 years old. Congratulations to T. C. Boyle and his son and webmaster Milo. |

Happy Birthday again!
Do we have reason to throw a rousing party?
It's summer time. While it's raining in Germany California is afire and the web pages from und devoted to T.C. Boyle are both celebrating their birthdays. |

Did my watch stop?
Sandye Utley and the Boylevard
The fourth year of www.tcboyle.de is over. Usually we would use this space for a short review, but certain events in the past twelve months were not pleasant at all. |

Paging
www.tcboyle.de 2.0
In spring 2006 we slowly started to modernise the skin of our
online presence, to iron out a few wrinkles, to rearrange the
categories, to remove the superfluous, and to add missing information. |

The second year of www.tcboyle.de
With two years one still shits into the trousers, makes a mess
while eating, has a very much limited vocabulary and is missing
- up to the cry for a new bottle of milk and diaper change -
abilities of assert oneself. |
